About Dr. Cheron

Ann-Colter Cheron, DMD, MSD

Dr. Cheron graduated from Davidson College in 2000 and received her DMD with honors from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004. After a one year hospital residency at the University of California, San Francisco, she received her Certificate in Orthodontics and Master’s Degree from the University of the Pacific in 2007. She has been in private practice since graduating. She is proud to continue their tradition of providing excellent care. Her hard work and dedication continue to be recognized by her peers who have selected her as one of Northern Virginia’s Top Orthodontists in Northern Virginia Magazine.

Continuing Education

Because orthodontics is not a static field, Dr. Cheron is dedicated to staying current with new methods and technologies. She attends many courses in continuing education each year to ensure her patients continue to receive the most state of the art care. Dr. Cheron has completed the rigorous McLaughlin Course which is a comprehensive two-year educational program focused on the benefits of goal-oriented orthodontics. The course helps orthodontists remain actively involved in and educated about the changing technologies and treatments across the dental and orthodontic fields. Dr. Cheron is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Virginia Association of Orthodontists, and the Northern Virginia Orthodontic Study Club.

When she’s not at the office, Dr. Cheron and her husband, Rob, are busy parents to two children and are actively involved in the community. She is proud to support her patients’ elementary, middle, and high schools and sponsor local youth athletic teams. She especially loves supporting the Girl Scout troops when it is cookie season! Dr. Cheron is also committed to giving back to our veterans through Wounded Warriors and volunteering her time with Honor Flight.
